Job Description
- Responsible for the full ownership of local country P&L and country operation, inclusive but not limited to, finance, HR, sales, marketing and operations. Responsible for ownership of the whole local operations to acquire maximum return on investment, efficiency, to meet business requirements, produce economic success in line with overall company strategy
- Set the strategic direction for the country, ensuring that it is aligned with the Group’s overall business strategy
- Act as a local business leader, fostering the success of Group’s services and people by resolving customer issues and managing people

- Works with colleagues internally and externally in a collaborative way for mutual benefit. Internal contact is with local offices, operation and HQ
- Interface with HQ management, sales and Marketing to adhere overall strategy to a local go-to-market strategy
- External contact is with all of Group’s relations
- The remit of this position is primarily national, but with international contact
- Leads local Management Team
Level of Impact:
Main local contributor to the achievement of the local country operation, revenue, margins and P&L. Erroneous execution will have impact on the company P&L and the overall company success.

Duties and Responsibilities
As Managing Director, your duties and responsibilities are to:
Provide clear direction for local country organization
- Provide clear direction for the sales efforts to meet and exceed Group’s local and overall revenue, expenses and margins
- Maintains overall responsibility for all business processes and fiduciary duties within local country
- Develops and communicates sales planning, development and monitoring
- Develops, drives and executes the local and overall strategic plan
- Develops and maintains direct relationships with major customers
- Develops he overall sales results and profitability of the country; meet / exceed KPI’s
- Responsible for business planning in country
- Work with counterparts to promote standardization across the countries aimed at making processes work more efficiently in each of the functional areas
- Creates a strong impact at an executive level and build a strong credibility in the long term to execute the local business
Manage effectiveness of local teams
- To coach, develop and motivate employees to achieve both individual and company objectives
- Leads people development and performance management at the country level
- Builds and leads a sales force
- Deals with day-to-day issues arising from country operations
- Manages the administrative processes for the local market
- Encourages and motivates people
- Empowers employees, giving positive and constructive feedback on a regular basis whilst acknowledging and celebrating team accomplishments
- Provides clear direction and guidance and coaching for local country teams
- Leads and takes responsibility for the performance of business and employees
- Identifies, attracts and retains the talent required to implement and drive forward ambitious plans
Adherence to local regulations
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with local Telecom regulations
- Responsible for ensuring local Health & Safety (regulations)
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with local law and regulations
Optimal functioning of sales & marketing processes
- Develop and drive the corporate strategy to ensure customer satisfaction and that Group is shaping or responding to identified customer needs by driving necessary improvement programs
- Provide market input and direction to the forward development of new capabilities and business opportunities
- Understands customers and company’s profitability and key business drivers, focuses on profit opportunities
- Builds and develops tight and long-lasting relation with customers and proactively establishes new client relationships
- Aligns the organization against meeting or exceeding customers’ needs
- Understands customer requirements and to translate these into profitable solutions for both the customers and Group
Maintain full overview of local operations
- Maintains operational and service excellence
- Grasps new technologies and the emerging trends of the market
- Drive all business processes and fiduciary duties within local country
Manage financial and operational local country organisation:
- Ensures all activities meet with organizational requirements for quality management, legal stipulations, environmental policies, security and general duty of care
- Measures and tracks key business results and processes against set targets and against the competition
- Ensures successful delivery of Group’s services to customers
- Ensures the quality of services and leverages improvements
- Monitors and follows up on construction and administration of build outs and implementation of sites
- Negotiates with clients, suppliers, regulatory bodies, lawyers, partners, etc. at the highest level
- Monitors processes to measure efficiency, keep costs in line and control the value chain
- Makes budgetary assessment and planning, including forecasting
- Understands customers’ businesses, markets and industry sectors
- Supports key/large accounts management
- Monitors customer satisfaction and customer retention
Additional duties and responsibilities:
- Assumes special projects and assignments; this will include taking responsibility for pilot projects for potentially group wide implementation. This will require an appreciation and understanding of operating in different environments and how the parameters of a pilot need to be defined measured in this regard
