Description du Poste

Empower Talents & Careers is recruiting a Support Engineer for a client in the mining sector.

Main purpose:

The IT Support Engineer serves as the primary point of contact for all end-user IT inquiries and issues. The role is responsible for providing prompt, effective, and professional technical support, advice, and solutions to ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems and a positive user experience. This role requires strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical and procedural issues. A key part of the role is collaborating with all IT support colleagues in Resolute to ensure seamless service delivery across all locations.

Helpdesk & technical support

  •          Handle IT queries via phone, email or ticketing.
  •          Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues.
  •          Escalate complex cases when necessary.

User assistance & training

  •          Provide clear guidance on IT procedures and best practices.
  •          Create user-friendly documentation and knowledge base articles.
  •          Deliver short training sessions when needed.
  •          Device & systems management
  •          Configure and deploy laptops, desktops and mobiles.
  •          Install and update software, ensuring proper licensing.
  •          Manage user accounts in line with security policies.

Problem diagnosis & improvement

  •       Document support interactions accurately.
  •       Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements.
  •       Act as a bridge between users and IT teams.

Collaboration & partnership

  •       Work with CDI IT engineers to share knowledge.
  •       Provide mutual support to ensure coverage across sites.
  •       Collaborate with remote sites for unified practices.

Profil du Poste

Qualifications / Experience & skills:

  •       Degree or HND in computer science or related.
  •       Cisco CCNA, CompTIA A+/N+, MCP or Office 365 preferred.
  •       Fluency in English.
  •       Min. 4 years’ experience as a Support Engineer.
  •       Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and technologies.
  •       Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  •       International experience is an asset.
